If You Like Looking For Hidden Gold,

this post might appeal to you, below 1 ton of gold,

photograph DEMONOCRACY.IFO but you will not be looking for 1 ton, you will be looking for between 94 tonnes of gold coins, jewels and art objects, and 120 tons of gold reserves and valuable art objects, depending on which of the 2 links above you click on, in any event it is a lot of gold!, so what is the story? in August 1916, Romania would soon find itself fighting on two warfronts, both in Transylvania and along the Danube, the next month National Bank of Romania decided to move its reserves, the NBR representatives signed for the move with the Russian Empire’s representative in Iași, the convention stipulating the terms and conditions of the first shipment to Moscow, according to it, the Romanian valuables were “under the Russian Government’s guarantee as regards the safety of shipment, the security of the deposit and the return to Romania”, so that was alright then, I should say apart from other treasures the gold, in December 1916 and July 1917, the National Bank of Romania deposited a total of 91.48 tonnes of fine gold in Moscow, now the bad news in October 1917, the Bolsheviks led by V. I. Lenin seized power and, in January 1918, the Council of People’s Commissars announced the severance of diplomatic ties with Romania, in 2016, 100 years since the departure of the first train to Moscow, “we, at the National Bank of Romania, still consider it our duty to take all necessary action for these valuable goods to return home”, Governor Mugur Isărescu said, the hunt for the missing gold continues, I wonder if Romania will ever have its treasures retuned, after all even the smaller number of tonnes, 94, is a huge pile which must be in someone's cellar!
