Blog Posted,

and I was on my way out,

into a bright sunny day as I made my way to visit Duncan,

I was soon passing Peter Pan's Pool,

where a heron was preening itself,

on the island,

in Lewisham The Watch House was now nicely decorated with some plants over the sign and hanging baskets,

Lewisham market now up and running,

the florists next to the station not yet open,

a bit of bad news the 09.31 still terminating at Dartford, so a wait and a change of trains there,

commuters on the upline making their way to London,

then a bit more bad news when I arrived at Dartford, the sign says it all, for some reason the strikers want my sympathy,

whilst waiting I took a couple of photographs,

of the lake next to the station, as it happens today I was meeting Alan at Gravesend,

arriving there we chatted away, the sky over the town starting to cloud over,

a bit of a wait for the 483, and when it arrived it was packed, the previous bus must have been cancelled,

off of the bus and up the hill to the nursing home where Duncan lives,

a pose from Alan,

and myself,

for Alan there is a fellow motorcyclist at the home, this Yamaha parked there everyday, Duncan was in fine sprits when we arrived and soon to be the father of the bride, one of his daughters with her fiancé had arrived last week from Australia to be married here in the UK, hopefully his family will call in to see him over the next week, we chatted away until Duncan's lunch arrived and then we said our farewells, back to the station Alan going back to Rainham, for myself a walk into town to pay in a cheque and then the journey home,

in Blackheath the florists next door to the station was now open,

a nice selection of plants on display,

like these strange looking celosia,

on the opposite side of the door,

a hydrangea,

onto the number 54 bus and past the building that work never seems to finish on,

the sunflower beds opposite the hospital looking very bedraggled,

the only bed looking nice the last bed with marigolds,

also looking bedraggled the bee gardens on top of some of the bus shelters,

the plants almost all dried up,

the same at the roof of the Green Man centre,

lots of dried out patches, it appears no one budgeted for the watering of the bee gardens,

the same at this one,

the plants drying out,

and here at the entrance to the park,

the same story,

Diana was already at home so we soon settled down for our evening meal,

there was so much in the kebab we bought,

it made a second meal,

the a real surprise and treat, Diana had made a banoffee, which was absolutely delicious, diet starts tomorrow! we settled down for the rest of the evening watching a couple of Midsomer Murders before we were off to bed.
