by the International Cycling Union,
photograph Visma-Lease a Bike, on the 12th of March I posted a story with the headline,
“Ridiculous” An “Eyesore”,
it was called the Aerohead 2.0, it is a time trial cycling helmet, it was designed
by Dutch professional sports team Visma-Lease a Bike,
its future was uncertain, but now good news, the helmet has been approved
by the International
Cycling Union, the governing body of the sport, "The
International Cycling Union recognizes that there are no direct violations of
the regulations, but is concerned about the current trend in which the priority
is increasingly on performance and much less on safety," it said in a
statement, according to the Belgian media outlet Sporza, also reported by
Sporza was that the helmet must be made available to the public by January 17, 2025.
As yet, there's no indication on what the cost for the helmet might be, for the
full story of the approval have a look here.
