I Am Sure We have All Watched A Gangster Movie,

but what I did not know was that certain gangster groups in the US had their own cards printed, 

these are from Brandon Johnson's book, "Thee Almighty & Insane,"

 

Johnson first found a gang card from the Royal Capris that was in his father's cigar box when he as 12 years old. Johnson, 32, started collecting the cards on eBay and found enough of them to create the book,

"It was a way to represent who was in your crew and who you hated, and it was a form of communication," Johnson said,

it stopped being practiced in the early 1990s, likely because of the "digital era coming upon us," Johnson added, "They just went out of fashion," 

"And I imagine the gangs just stopped being interested in doing them."

the book recently sold out his first edition of 500 copies, which sold for $30, and he planed and printed a second edition of at least 1,000 more books, which also sold out, the third edition is here, 

as it happens I have cards for our blog that I give out, 

as well as my infrared blog, with a few funnies printed on the back of each, 

these are on the back of our BlogSpot card,

and these on the back of Stanley's Infrared card, speaking of cards I also did not know that the in some states in the US the police also had gang cards! the fact was that the Chicago police had something of a gang of their own called the Insane Fish, they too made compliment cards and also made sweaters, t-shirts, and wrote their own graffiti, for more details have a look here, why the name Insane Fish? As they arrested people they would tell them, "Have you heard about this gang, the Insane Fish? They're the biggest fish in the sea."
