A Busy, Busy Day,

it was for me, first the dentist to have my temporary tooth put back, then Mick called in, he had just returned in his Jeep from Lao, a journey of about 3,000 kilometers, only one slight problem a oil hose needed nipping up with a spanner other than that the jeep did not miss a beat, so a long chat over a few cups of tea, Phil had also that morning arrived from the UK with some clothes that I had left there, many thanks to Steve for getting them to Phil's house, before Phil left Joe called in, he has just returned to Thailand after going to the States to pick up his brother Blair, so more tea all round, Joe left about 7.30 in the evening so as Diana was not due back till midnight I had no choice but to go to town and in a strange twist of fate I bumped into Mike he was on his way home, but I managed to persuade him to join in a couple of drinks in Sisterz,
the sign says it all,
we now have failed boy scouts dressing up in uniforms, do not get me wrong, some of these guys do a good job, translating in the local police station where help is needed, but what I do not understand is why some of these people spending huge amounts of money on their own uniforms, nothing is provide by the local police, they all have to go to the school uniform shop and buy their own tops, trousers, belts, shoes, flashlights, handcuffs, pepper spray, etc, when all they have to do is translate, which could be done in smart casual clothing,

great neon signs, and plenty of people about,
this is a small soi where the secrets bar is situated on the way to Second Road,
for any one that is interested it has it's own web page Pattaya Secrets,
the entrance to Secrets,
another club down the same Soi,
and it's entrance,
this is the cross road at Soi 14,
looking along Soi 14 to Walking Street,
and now going towards the refurbished White Inn on Second Road,
from a seedy hotel it has at least as far as the reception area been greatly improved,
it even has a new sign, a change of ownership maybe?
looking from Soi 17 across Second Road to the narrow Soi that runs down the side of the Diamond Beach Hotel, this is the Soi that the new Club Mirage, managed by Russ is situated,
many people have asked me why both of my motorcycles have white seats, well there is three reasons, firstly it does not get "you could fry an egg on that!" hot in the sun, unless you have sat on a black seat cover which has been in the sun you can not know how hot they get,
secondly if you park the bike and are alcoholically challenged (not that I drink and drive) it is easy to find even in the dark,
and thirdly it puts potential thief's off of stealing it as it stands out in a crowd, having said that only a blind thief would steal a bike as old as mine! any way time to go home and wait for Diana, well I stayed in Sisterz to long, it was Mick and Mas's fault, as they came in, so naturally I had to stay! and Diana beat me home, but all was well, she has a double entry visa, so in 60 days down to immigration and pay 1,900 for another 30 days, then 880 baht to go to Cambodia, off at 7 in the morning and back by 2 in the afternoon, the good news is that as the Philippines is part of ASEN she does not have to pay for the Cambodian visa which is why it is only 880 baht for the visa trip, then all is well for another 60 days plus 30 again, then guess what? she will have to do the Lao trip all over again! Oh No! I hear you say, more nights on the town, Cheers!
