The Courtyard Restaurant,

is situated off of Soi Siam Country Club road, go over the railway lines and continue until you reach the "elephant show" cross roads, it is the first cross road that has an amber flashing light before it,
Riza, Diana and Da, all of the girls had new dresses for the evening, Diana's was the one that was included in the price of my shorts!
the inside bar at the Courtyard, but we elected to sit outside, this is the outside bar,
we had a table by the fountain and palm tree, there were also salas that you could sit in if you wanted an outside table in the rainy season, Diana, Mike, Riza and Da, Jeff was delayed a little from work, but he joined us soon,
guest wine again kindly supplied by Jeff was Bushman's Gully, and very nice it was to,
on to the starters, deep fried shrimp for me,
vegetable soup for Mike,
French onion soup for Jeff,
the girls did not want starters, so here is the first of the main courses, lamb stew for Riza, it looks small in the picture but there was lots of it, we all tried some of it and pronounced it delicious,
Diana had pork chop with pineapple and mashed potatoes,
I had peppered fillet steak,
Jeff, Da and Mike had chicken in mushroom sauce, the portions were generous indeed with two breasts of chicken, Jeff could not eat all of his and Mike said it was a real struggle to finish, for me I was full with still a long way to go to finish my steak,
a really pleasant evening was had by all,
everybody say Ah!
we all liked the toothpick holders,
Jeff decided to try a desert, but I think everyone else was full,
and then a complimentary plate of fresh fruit was presented to us, sorry about the out of focus picture, it was the last glass of wine that did it! this was a lovely evening and a real find thanks to Mike and Riza, the food was first class as was the service, the helpings generous and the real surprise came with the bill, 850 baht per couple was we all thought very reasonable.
