The Sher 'E' Punjab,

is as it's name suggests an Indian restaurant,
it is situated on beach road just past Soi 8,
Jeff and Da strike the pose!
as do we,
inside the restaurant, very clean and spacious,
we took two bottles of wine with us, one The Little Penguin,
and this one, Cepage Gamet, to be truthful both Jeff and myself thought that The Little Penguin would taste better, well it was 50/50 I preferred the Cepage, Jeff the Penguin, but both of the girls preferred the Cepage, the general view being that the Cepage was just a little sweeter,
a glass before the meal,
for starters we had poppadoms with mint dip, with onion bhaji and chicken tikka chat,
then for the main course chicken shashlyk, on a hot plate, I do not really know why it is called that, as shashlyk is a Russian word, but that is what it is called here and in the UK, and prawns with onions also on a hot plate,
Jeff looking forward to the meal,
and Da,
the food is served, a very nice meal it was to, we also had 3 different types of bread, Jeff really likes fresh bread and this restaurant had the largest selection of fresh bread that we have seen so far, total was 1,400 per couple, but the bill did not include any desserts, for those it was off to Pan-Pan!
