I Got It Wrong,

again! after driving to Nagklua yesterday we went to the lake today looking for the buffalo racing, but no luck, it was not there, but at least it was a nice day for a drive and the lake was starting to fill up with water, on the way back we stopped to look at the place a new Jolibee was alleged to be opening, but no signs of anything opening yet, construction has been really slow on this site, it was several months ago since we last saw it,

although several shop houses are clearly finished, not one appears to have been bought or rented out,

we then called into see Nick and Maureen, who is growing some plants,

Ta-Taa was pleased to see us as usual,

and then went back to having a lay down in the shade,

so we settled down for a beer and a chat, putting the world to rights as usual!

on the way back we stopped at a large flower shop on Pattaya Central, it is almost opposite Foodland,

the shop was really large with so many different types of plants,

like these Bromeliads, you may think they are strange, but the pineapple is one, these were priced at 180 - 200 baht each,

of course lots of orchids,

and pots,

the shop has a large frontage but also it goes back,

a long way back!

and then some more, it was in fact several different shops on one site, well worth a look if you are in the market to buy a few plants or just look around,

there was a furniture store, Decorum, next door but it has gone, I am not sure but it may have relocated,

this happens all of the time, we had a small list, milk, butter, eggs but come back loaded down with goodies!

by now it was time to get ready for our evening meal, so into the Secrets taxi,

and off to the 295 baht each evening buffet at Cherry's, we both had a selection of delicious starters,

then Diana skipped the main courses and had a dessert,

there was so much to chose from, also there is a 395 bar-b-q on Saturdays,

it was now time for Diana to start on the main courses,

these are some of the starters, the salad bar behind,

for me a helping of these huge green New Zealand mussels, yummy!

'Cheers!' from me, a great meal, but the buffet is only there on Wednesdays,

then into the Secrets taxi and home, we were going to watch a DVD or two, but as it was nearly midnight we decided to make it an early night, so it was off to bed.
