It Seems That No Sooner Does One Phone Company Announce A New Phone,

than another one is snapping at their heels with their newest product, just a couple of days ago I mentioned the Æ+Y phone which was a basic 'call me - call you' product, but now Motorola have released the Atrix onto the market, as few features as the Æ+Y phone has the new Atrix has them in spades, boasting a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 4-inch QHD display, 1GB of RAM and Google’s Android 2.2, FroYo operating system, whilst seemingly behind on the Android stakes, a 2.3 Gingerbred update is reportedly on the way, the Atrix’s true potential is released via its more ingenious features that include an optional Lapdock that transforms the Atrix into a fully fledged laptop computer with WebTop OS,

but there is more, the Motorola ATRIX is the first smart phone to operate using fingerprint recognition to ensure it can only be accessed by the genuine owner, the ATRIX owner swipes their finger on the touchscreen a number of times when it is fresh out of the box to identify them as the authorised user, great idea? well I am not so sure, think on this, two weeks ago Sony revealed details of 77m PlayStation Network users, things like names, addresses, e-mails, birth dates, phone numbers and other information from SOE customers were stolen from its servers as well as from an ‘outdated database’, today Sony announced a further 25million computer game users have had their personal details stolen by hackers, now I am not saying it could be done, but do I want to give hackers (or some might say governments), my fingerprint as well?
