The People Next Door Are Having Some Building Work Started,

so the wasp nest we have behind one of our air conditioning units has to be closed off, some plastic sheeting was placed around the nest to keep the unwanted guests from stinging the workers,
we kept to the other side of the house, so Diana decided to trim some of the plants, that's the way to do it!, we can now see Diana's miniature garden more easily,
alas the last in the series, History Mysteries, today three stories, Murder at Berkeley Castle, Charles Berkeley wants the team to solve the mystery of the last jester’s death at his family seat, The Hunt For The Lost Railway, Barrie Lamb is from Darlington, birthplace of the railways, He shares the name of a local railway celebrity, John Lamb, who was an engine driver in the 19th century, and who was so loved that a monument was erected in his honour, but are they related? lastly The Man With Two Tombs, at St Mary’s Redcliffe Church in Bristol there are two tombs for the same man – William Canynges, but why? a great set of DVD's we both hope they make some more about these little known but fascinating pieces of history,
another DVD that promises much and I am happy to say we were not disappointed, Tony Robinson goes on a fascinating and sometimes bizarre journey to discover the origins of our laws and what we do to people when they break them, in Tony Robinson's Crime and Punishment, we find out how the Normans created the first surveillance society, how today's compensation culture was started by the Anglo Saxons, Tony plays the part of the accused, judge, jury and executioner and discovers the often strange circumstances from which the main tenets of modern English law emerged, we watched the first episode and we are looking forward to the rest,
then to a couple of films, firstly Under Suspicion, a lawyer is asked to come to the police station to clear up a few loose ends in his witness report of a foul murder, this will only take ten minutes, they say, but it turns out to be one loose end after another, good suspense movie but some of the evidence is a bit circumstantial, but well worth the effort of watching, I only named the murderer incorrectly three times!
a court room drama, Class Action, Jeb Ward is an attorney who specializes in whistle blower, David vs. Goliath, type cases, he finds a client who is suing an auto company over a safety problem that has had a severe effect on his life after an accident, although names are not mentioned in the film a number of car manufactures have been caught up in litigation, where poor placement of the gas tank has resulted in explosions that have maimed or killed people when the vehicles are involved in rear end collisions, for instance fourteen officers have been killed nationwide as the result of an auto fire from a rear end collisions in a Ford Crown Victoria's since 1982, as the article notes, 'Much litigation has already been brought against Ford for it’s flawed design, anyone injured in an auto fire resulting from a Ford Crown Victoria, police or civilian models, has legal rights and should contact a lawyer to exercise them,' back to the film great acting by all involved,
three more from Only Fools and Horses, The Yellow Peril, It Never Rains and lastly A Touch of Glass, this is the episode where the Trotters get a job to clean a chandelier, Diana laughed so much, well we both did but I had seen this episode before, then for us off to bed.
