We Fancied A Change Of Pace For Lunch,

so we drove into town,

we parked up in Walking Street,

then made our way back to the Pattaya Beer Garden,

not so many boats toady as we were later than usual,

the entrance runs along the side of the bars that you first see as you travel towards Walking Street on Beach Road,

new since the last time we were here is a slushy drink, Diana chose the strawberry flavored one,

a beer for me, well it was after 1.00 in the afternoon!

 our food then arrived,

Thai food for Diana and a prawn cocktail for me,

 'Cheers!',

we use the Secrets taxi service when we go out for a meal in the evenings, well who did we bump into here as a waitress? none other than Thip, one of the drivers for the service, she told us she left Secrets 6 months ago and started work here from 10.00 till 18.00 then goes to work at the airport, it was so nice to see her again as we wondered why we had not seen her driving for some time,

as we ate our meal there were huge shoals of bait fish next to the jetty we were eating on,

we made our way to Walking Street past the shrine on the left as you go out,

and on towards where we had parked our bike,

on the way home we stopped at Wat Chai market,

it was the start of the strawberry season, so we had to have some to nibble on whilst watching television in the evening,

whilst Diana was looking around I took a few shots of the flower stall,

plenty of roses to chose from,

I have been told that these are brought down from Chang Mai, it is cooler there so they grow better than here,

there were also some toy or miniature pineapples for sale,

also lots of fruit to chose from,

Diana carefully hand picked some more of those small sweet oranges,

it seemed like no sooner than we had arrived home than it was time to go to the night market, blue skies again this week,

opposite the bar a new clothes stall and a stall selling dried fruit that had been sugared and made into sweets,

although still early there were quiet a few people around,

in both of the food aisles,

Sa and one of her family called by to say hello,

along with Dang and her cousin,

the girls as usual went on a shopping fest, meanwhile Juu and myself had a few cool beers, then home feet up and after our evening meal,

Top Secret! was next, this time Zucker and Abrams are spoofing, most notably, Elvis films and WWII spy movies, think Airplane, Hot Shots, Naked Gun, et al, so from the same guys Top Secret!, great fun, I especially liked the station leaving the train scene, it also has the best underwater fight scene I have ever seen!

then another huge laugh at Monsterquest, this time the high light was the The Tasmanian Tiger or Thylacine (Thylacinus cynocephalus), the world's largest carnivorous marsupial once common throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea, again just a quick glance at some of the scientific facts already known and published about them would have shown the team some important pieces of information, through out the presentation the Tigers we were told attacked sheep, but it appears early settlers were mistaken but it did not stopped them from being wiped out,

we made The Last of the Mohicans our last film of the evening, it is a time when British and French troops did battle in colonial America, the story takes place in Eastern New York State, with aid from various native American war parties assisting both sides, assurances were given but broken when they we needed to be, a watchable film, but then the book of the same name by James Fenimore Cooper was a good read too, then form us of to bed.
