We Popped Over To Sabai Resort Again This Morning,

but managed to miss our friends again,

it was a nice drive but for some reason, well I guess lots of people from Bangkok staying here to wait out the floods, the roads back to our place were packed,

I spent the afternoon trawling the Internet looking for a few stamps, then it was glad rags on and we were out,

to Cherry's for their International 325 baht a head buffet,

starters for both of us, Diana even had a glass of wine,

another few starters for myself and a selection of main courses for Diana,

and a glass of medicinal red wine,

the lure of the desserts became too much for Diana,

I had a look around the grill,

then found the lobster soup which I missed the first time round,

Diana decided on a selection of desserts,

 mine, all mine!

Diana tried some of my lobster soup so she had to have some,

meanwhile I made my way along the main courses,

 so many to chose from,

slices of lamb, duck and chicken with a skewer of prawns,

followed by dessert of ice cream and a raspberry delight,

having read that a glass of wine is healthy for you I figured that today with two glasses of wine I would be twice as healthy! 'Cheers!', then into the Secrets taxi and home we went, if you want to try the buffet on a Wednesday try to get there early 6.30ish or be prepared to wait or share a table, it does get that busy,

then feet up for The Man with the Golden Gun, it was strange seeing some of the familiar streets in Bangkok as they were in 1974, James Bond is called in to investigate and track down Scaramanga, meeting up with Nick Nack and JW Pepper on the way, all good fun,

to see us to bed Madagascar with master craftsman Sir David Attenborough at the helm, we had watched another DVD titled Madagascar, a story of how 4 animals escaped from the New York Zoo, arriving on the island the local population of Lemurs is being threaten by a group of animals called the Fossas that eat them, I had thought that this was a figment of the film writers imagination, but I was wrong there is an animal called a Fossa that does eat lemurs, it is a relative of the mongoose, another fascinating DVD, but we still have the rest of the first DVD to watch through and then the second, so with that for us off to bed.

Interesting trivia about "The Man With The Golden Gun".

Main filming took place in Phuket. At the time Phuket was a rather sleepy tourist location.

There were no large hotels.

The only accommodation large enough was the local brothel which they leased out.
