Although Not A True Albino,

this snow coloured lobster is getting into the Christmas spirit,

the white colour is due to a lack of melanin in the skin, which means there is a lack of colour pigment, but the lobster still has it's normal black eyes so it is not a true albino, but here is the thing, the lobster which is believed to be over 30 years old has defied all the odds, as being white it would be a sure target for predators, so I am wondering whether it will remain this colour on its next moult or go back to type?

the lobster was found in a lobster-pot off the Dorset coast, the two Bridport fishermen who found the crustacean near Portland Bill handed it to Weymouth Sea Life Park after deciding not to cook it.
