On The Way To Pick Up A Few More Presents That Had Been Wrapped,

I stopped off at the bike shop,

the tyres do not seem to have a puncture, but they need a top up every month or so,

a quick look at the marine aquarium in the Kodak shop,

the clams seem to be doing very well,

this one in particular has the most beautiful electric blue spots on its mantle, just a pity they do not show up so well in the photograph,

the tree looking good with lights and presents, every so often Diana will walk past, pick one up and shake it, just to try to tell what is inside,

then we are out for the evening,

 to Cherry's,

Steve enjoyed the food so much in Cherry's last week he wanted to treat us there to a birthday meal, first we had a complementary starter of fried fish and tartar sauce, so for our main starters Steve decided on a chicken pate, for myself the starter consisted of a seafood vol au vent, with shrimp, crab and scallop filling with a sauce that was so nice,

Diana had a selection from the salad bar as well as the fish and tartar, then Diana went for the Monday night set menu,

two huge prawns and two slipper lobsters,

 'Cheers!', from me,

and another with the tree in the background,

every one say Ah! next on the menu was a lime sorbet, Steve and myself then chose our next course,

Diana's lobster was first to arrive,

and very nice it looked too,

baked salmon and sautéed potatoes for myself,

whilst Steve went for the mixed grill,

 all smile for the camera,

Diana likes lobster so much she just had to take another picture of it,

after a break it was on to the desserts, I am not sure what Steve ordered, for myself I chose the hot cherry's in orange sauce,

 Diana went for the tiramisu,

Steve caught in the act! we rounded off with a cup of coffee, many thanks to Steve for treating us to his birthday meal, to say we enjoyed it is the understatement of the year! then home to 388 for us,

I guess we have all heard of Butch Cassidy but of course that was his adopted name, born Robert Leroy Parker on April 13, 1866, in Beaver, Utah, he made a name for himself and later with criminal partner Harry Longabaugh, the “Sundance Kid” whose nickname derived from a town where he had once been imprisoned by robbing banks and trains, it appears that far from being a mindless criminal Butch was in fact a cleaver mastermind, but vanity caught him and the gang out when they posed for a photograph,

the photographer was so pleased with the result he put it in his window, a passing lawman recognised one of the gang members and the Pinkerton Detective Agency could now circulate pictures of the whole gang, many of whom they only had a vague description of, (Butch first row far right), a fascinating program,

Midsomer Murders next, The Creeper, I quiet liked this one, as barely 10 minuets into the plot I had worked out who the creeper in the title was, naturally I did not have a clue to who did the murders, so no change there then, the Creeper in the title refers to a man who has been entering peoples homes in the dead of night, after the Chief Constable becomes the latest victim it all becomes more serious when after one of the burglaries, a man is found dead in his bed, but was it the Creeper? then for us off to bed.
