Many Of Our Friends Will Know,

we are awaiting the release in BluRay of series 3 of Downton Abbey,

which starts on ITV1 next Sunday, so hopefully the disc will be on its way soon, but the success of the series has meant a huge increase in visitors to Highclere Castle, the famous Victorian manor which is the setting for Downton Abbey, set in 1,000 acres of Hampshire parkland, it was also the setting for Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves and the 2005 wedding of Katie Price and Peter Andre, since Downton began, visitors have increased by 1,000 per day, if we were in the UK one day the visitor count would be increased by 1,002! so if you are in the UK and have enjoyed the series as much as we have the admission prices are Adults £16, children £9.50, families £48, the prices include the castle, exhibition and gardens, for further information have a look at the Highclere Castle site.
