We Had A Letter To Post,

so off to Soi 5 in Jomtien to the post office,

we have split today into two posts as there were a lot of pictures, so on to today, on the way we thought we would stop and see how the Colosseum was coming along,

and the covered area next to it,

work has come on a pace,

the front looking almost complete,

the left hand side has already been painted,

and glass fitted on the right hand side, the latest rumour is that it is going to be a venue for lady-boys similar to the Tiffany or Alcazar shows, time will tell if that is what is needed in Pattaya,

next door to the Colosseum the new building is also taking shape,

the rumour for this building is that it is going to be a wholesale fruit and vegetable market, again time will tell,

finally the new post office in Soi 5 Jomtien,

as a matter of interest I have seen Jomtien spelt in a number of ways, but I guess the correct spelling is the one here, two words, Chom Thian,

we then drove up to the viewing point overlooking Pattaya,

looking out towards the coral islands,

this was where we were, the local radio station,

there were lots of vantage points for taking pictures with some nice bougainvillea trees growing nearby,

 the view overlooking Pattaya bay,

plenty of seating if you decided to walk up here rather than take a bike or car,

then it was my turn to have a few pictures taken,

the old jetty in the distance,

just as we were leaving I noticed a few animals on the ground in front of us,

 some chickens,

a herd of zebras and a horse in a hat,

as well as the satellite antenna there is a statue at the top of the hill,

also an example of wood carving,

it was from the Sanctuary of Truth that we had visited some time ago,

I do enjoy being on a motorbike,

and around here there are lots of nice twisty bits of road,

but you never know what is going to be around the next corner, like this coach making a 5 point turn!

we made our way past the Royal Cliff condominiums,

and down the hill just past them,

another nice twisty bit of road,

our destination just in sight,

and there it is in the distance,

turn left into the car park,
and get a table by the sea,

the view looking towards the coral islands,

and Pattaya,

my turn to have my picture taken,

then Diana,
whilst we were waiting for our breakfast we noticed some windsurfers in the distance,

our breakfast arrived,

two ice coffees,

crab meat fried rice and some deep fried prawns,

the windsurfers were still hard at it,

working up an appetite,

for their lunch time break,

but for me this is more like it,

all aboard for the skylark! and off to the islands,

meal over we made a move for home, the meal came to 440 baht, a tad on the expensive side, but it was so nice sitting by the sea.
