we decided to breakfast on the beach,
so off to the Surf Kitchen we went,
and me looking, well like me,
Diana decided on a Thai dish with egg and rice,
I also fancied a change,
so chicken, mushrooms and cashew nuts with rice for myself,
the view of the beach from the restaurant,
and along Jomtien Beach Road looking towards Sattahip, one slight change to the venue is that instead of a beautiful display of orchids at the front of the restaurant there are now signs saying 'please do not pick the flowers', such a shame that a few thief's spoil the display for the rest of us,
a bit late I know but put it in the calendar for next year!
we wanted to get a few pictures printed, so I parked up opposite the hotel we used to eat at some evenings, it looks like work might start on the new restaurant section, but time will tell,
the view looking towards TukCom,
the rear entrance,
and a mobile brush seller by the side entrance,
I crossed Pattaya Tai going past Friendship,
and ended up at the Kodak shop, but there was a slight problem, I had made the picture using Microsoft Office Publisher, of course the computer the shop uses does not have that as a program so home for me, tomorrow I will return when I have changed the picture to a JPEG, which is easy to do,
then Harvey, a comedy made in 1950 where an invisible six-foot rabbit has made Elwood P. Dowd his best friend,
then a much more serious film, Voyage of the Damned, it concerned the tragedy of S.S. St. Louis as it tried to land it's passengers from Germany into Cuba and the resulting refusal upon arrival in Havana for any one to disembark the ship, it then sailed to Florida, and eventually Canada, searching for safe haven, sadly the ship returned to Antwerp after more than a month at sea, forced back under Nazi rule as the low countries fell, many of the passengers were exterminated in death camps, a truly harrowing story for more details of it have a look here,
to round off the evening one more from the new Sherlock series 3, tonight's episode The Sign of Three, then for us we were off to bed.
