like movies with lots of special effects,

but at times it must be difficult for the actors to visualise what the scene will really end up like, so here are a few before and after takes, the first Alice In Wonderland,

Oz, the Great and Powerful,

and Boardwalk Empire, it must be strange for the actors to look horrified or trying to duck invisible water, but for me it is still amazing what the technical wizards in the film studios can do, for more examples of before-and-after shots have a look here.
