We Had A Quiet Thursday,

and spent the late afternoon and evening,

watching a few old favorites, firstly This Island Earth, made in 1955, for it's time a really good classic sci-fi, if you have not seen it, the film is a must for fans of the genre,

we followed that with a classic horror, a little out of the mainstream Hammer horror stable, The Fearless Vampire Killers, made in 1967, a slightly different look at Vampires as professor Abronsius and his assistant, Alfred, go vampire hunting with an amusing twist every so often, well who said Vampires had to be hetrosexual? as Alfred finds out,

a slightly more up to date sci-fi,as it was released in 2004, AVP: Alienvs. Predator, many seem not to like the film, it only scoring 5.6 on the IMDB site, but for us we really enjoyed the film, great special effects, and who could not like a fight between Aliens and Predator with us humans in the middle?

we rounded off the evening with another classic, that we have both enjoyed watching before, Dial M for Murder, as with most, if not all Hitchcock films he is in there somewhere, even if he is in black and white! and with the end of that we were off to bed.
