so we had a breakfast together,
after which I dropped her off at work, arriving home the fun began, the road near us is unmade up, so in the summer time dust and tree pollen/sap lands on the cars in the house's car park, so rather than taking the car to an expensive car wash in just a couple of weeks we would recoup our expenditure if we bought one of these, a reel of hose to wash the car ourselves, it looked so easy in the instructions, I guess everyone says that! eventually all was well and downstairs it worked, except, where the hose attaches to the tap no matter how hard I tried to do it up water streamed from the connection, it was putting on a better display than a fountain in Trafalgar Square! I will buy some PTFE tape and give that a try next time I go to a hardware shop,
in the afternoon another of the foxes called by, this one with a limp,
but a slightly more bushy tail than the one that called by yesterday, and on the good news, well sort of front,
the Little Boats we visited on Sunday and Monday this week are off, to Dunkirk as they did all of those years ago, but it was not with out a treacherous diversion, the crossing celebrating bringing our troops back from Dunkirk was on for the first time since 2015, but they all had to make way for the latest boatload of illegal invaders, it is strange that all of those years ago we kept out the Germans, but now provide a taxi service to illegals, as one commentator put it in the comments section of the Daily Mail which I have copied and pasted in full:
"The irony of the invasion taking place in front of our eyes
isn't lost on anyone. Why celebrate Dunkirk when we are insulting the memory of
all those who died by letting these scavengers in. Stop the boats and the
leeches as they are bleeding us dry"
I will not comment, to do so could see me arrested, it appears that this sort of thing is not uncommon, even the wife of a Tory councilor was not immune from imprisonment, and keyboard warriors, as I think they are called are being persecuted as well for expressing a opinion, it is amazing how many results there are when you type into a search thing on the Internet "jailed for making a comment" so I will not say a word, just incase, on a happier note, there is a great story here, titled 'Behind the beaches: Margate’s forgotten role in the Miracle
of Dunkirk', it is a really good read, so if you have time grab a coffee and enjoy, after my evening meal and a Outback Opel Hunters and Deadliest Catch, it was feet up for,
The Great Wall, this what I wrote the last time we watched it:
'what a spectacle, almost all action with fearsome creatures that every 60 years try to storm the wall and eat the population, but this time the creatures had a cunning plan, so it is then for us mere mortals to catch up, and no I am not going to do the Ketchup joke, what a great movie', as it ended Diana called so out to pick her up, arriving home it was feet up for a coffee and a chat as we watched a It Ain't Half Hot Mum, before we were off to bed.
