We Went Shopping Today,

I parked in the Lidl car park,

 Diana queued to go inside,

I walked to Sainsburys, both queues relatively small, I nearly forgot to buy my parking ticket, some one reminded me that unlike Croydon, Bromley council still wanted its pound of flesh as Bromley did not cancel its car park fees during the corovirus crisis,

and I had no wish to have one of the traffic wardens do a victory dance as they issue tickets to wrong doers, as this one does in Bromley, when he issued a ticket a few weeks ago,

the dancing traffic warden received a good reception when he appeared in the Daily Mail, The Sun the Telegraph and others, note to self, do not illegally park in Bromley! I have no wish to make his day!

the good news is that the last time we shopped, there was only white wine for sale, Diana bought 4 boxes, but this time red was on offer too, so Diana bought 4 boxes of red, that should see me through to the end of the lockdown!

in the afternoon, tea and cake, we watched a few quiz shows in the afternoon, also a double helping of the Red Bull Soap Box Challenge,

for our evening meal a selection of cold cuts,

 'Cheers!', with a sherry,

 then time for a sake,

 carefully does it,

 another 'Cheers!',

 for our main course,

pork with all of the trimmings,

followed by a dessert of frosted arctic roll with fruit and ice cream,

 delicious,

one of Diana's succulents is still flowering,

 strange looking flowers,

 the top still to flower,

whilst the first to flower at the bottom of the stem have already finished,

then a bit of a drama, a huge flying insect flew into the room and decided to make the interior of one of the ceiling lights its resting place, after listening to music for most of the evening, it was next one each from Sherlock Holmes and Poirot, then for us we were off to bed.

Another Peaceful Start To The Day,

for the fox,

catching the early morning rays, a quiet day for myself, but for Diana she decided to give the bedroom a spring clean, so for myself it was feet up, keep out of the way and watch some television,

in the afternoon I decided to take a couple of photographs of Diana's succulents now that the flowers were beginning to open,

and strange they looked too,

 well perhaps not this one,

quite delicate as it happens,

 time for our evening meal,

Diana had made a delicious salad for our starter,

a crispy lettuce leaf filled with coleslaw, sweetcorn and boiled eggs, it was almost a meal in itself,

 'Cheers!',

 on to our main course,

 ribs and rice for Diana,

chili con carne with rice for myself, plus a couple of ribs sans sauce,

 for dessert a mini Magnum,

followed by some of the delicious chocolate from Ocelot, in Edinburgh, for tonight a few pieces of Eggnog, we listened to music for the rest of the evening, and as the midnight hour approached, we were off to bed.

First Thing After Brushing My Teeth,

and having a shave,

I drank a litre of soda water, whilst in the kitchen the fox called by,

so a snack for him of a handful of peanuts, normally they do not call round until the afternoon/evening, but there he was, one of the three with the white on his tail,

the flower spike on one of the orchids was continuing to grow, it is now 29" long,

 and part way up it,

a second and third spike have sprouted,

also the flower spike on one of Diana's succulents has doubled in size,

and almost looks like opening,

the same with the smaller one,

the buds almost open, during the day we watched a couple of quiz shows, and a documentary about the lost world of Venezuela

after our evening meal and three games of cribbage, I lost 2 - 1, we went outside at 8.00 in the evening to clap and bang away, as most of the neighbours did to show support for the workers in the NHS,

going back inside our film for the evening was The House with a Clock in Its Walls, rated as a family, comedy PG film, it is more than a bit scary in places, but so watchable, the sets just like the abandoned rooms of a possessed house should be, highly enjoyable, we rounded off the evening with one from New Tricks, next for us we were off to bed.
