Just As I Was Starting To Post Yesterdays Blog,

I had a panic phone call from Joe,

because of his hectic business schedule he is sometimes late (always!) and often forgets things, (most of the time!) so as an 'Aide-mémoire' he had purchased a small plain paper book to scribble down notes, that way he will not be late and remember everything, in days past I think you would refer to them as a 'fileafax' (wonder where they all went?), whilst waiting for our lunch yesterday he took down details of our flights to the Philippines to book the tickets and some phone numbers,

well guess what? he phoned to say he had forgotten it in The Bricklayers Arms! just as we were about to leave to pick it up, he phoned again to say that he had found it, outside on the roof of his pick truck where it had been all night! D'Oh! as Diana was ready in one of her new tops it was off to Jomtien for breakfast,

me striking the pose instead of Diana outside,
we were gong to go to the Surf Kitchen but it was packed so we went a little further along to the Surf Hotel where we were served straight away,
a happy Diana waiting for our coffee, a quick view of the interior,
not many people here, which is surprising as it is only a few meters from the Kitchen that was packed,
they have 2 aquariums, both with albino tinfoil barbs in them, the fish are native to Brunei Darsm, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, but these are albino so they have been 'man made' the Latin name is Barbonymus schwanenfeldii, (formally Puntius, Barbodes or Barbus), last time we were on the river Kwai it was great fun to feed them, we were on a floating hotel on the river and fed them rice,
but back to the breakfast, shrimp cocktail for me,
then Diana's food arrived,
a club sandwich, we both had a ice coffee, total 380 baht, later in the early evening it was off to the market, Diana was going to make a Thai chicken dish, so we needed some spring onions,
you can not get any fresher than these, all alive, alive o!
and for a snack later in the evening some fresh boiled corn, the evening meal was delicious, we followed it with some fresh strawberries, then feet up to watch a few DVD's,
but yet again the yabbie was making a huge amount of noise as he tried to have it away on his toes, we almost had to turn the volume up!
we had seen it before, but nothing beats a good disaster movie, so Godzilla it was!
and regrettably the last of Midsomer Murders, but I have ordered some more in the UK, so that is something to look forward to, then off to bed.
