My Internet Connection Is So Bad Today,

that I have not been able to update it till after lunch, so here goes,
about midday we had a visit from Mey and Casey,
with proud dad Glenn,
they are over from the Philippines, baby Casey was not to sure about all of this until we turned the lights of the aquariums on, then she was totally captivated, meanwhile Glenn and myself settled down with a few vodka soda's and caught up with what was happening to all of us,
our friends left, we had made no plans for eating so on the spur of the moment we decided that we both fancied an Indian meal, glad rags on and it was time to go,
so we made our way to Marine Plaza and the Indian/Middle Eastern area,
looking back towards Second Road the right hand side has restaurants and tailors all along it, on the left about half way along there are some beer bars, outside almost all of them you can try a hubble-bubble or hooker pipe, never tried one myself but they seem to have a loyal following judging by the number of people I see smoking them here and along Soi Yen Sabi,
we eventually chose this restaurant, but for the life of me I can not remember the name, but it is easy to find as it is the only one with the outside of the building dressed in stone, also look out for the tailors next door if you want to try it,
first a couple of popadoms with onions and mint sauce and of course a glass of red wine for me, watermelon juice for Diana,
our food arrives,
Diana was egar to start, we have both been looking forward to an Indian meal for a couple of weeks and were glad that we made a snap decision, we had ordered a garlic nan, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, aloo ghobi, (potatoes and cauliflower) with pillow rice, also if you like cooking have a look here for a few Indian recipes,
Diana was really hungry! we had planned to take some home with us as we had ordered so much, but neither of us could stop eating - it was so delicious, I had 3 glasses of wine at 100 baht a glass, the total for the meal including the wine was 970 baht, perhaps a little expensive but the food was superb, would we go back? yes,
after arriving home by motorbike taxi we relaxed in front of the TV to enjoy a desert at home, a chocolate cone for Diana,
and a strawberry cone for me, what a way to round off the day! then feet up to watch a couple of DVD's we had not seen them for a while so we watched a couple of Midsomer Murders, not to easy to follow if you have had a couple! then off to bed.
