It Is Saturday Again!

where do the days go?
anyway on to the trip to Friendship,
which was unusually quiet, hardly any bikes in the car park or cars for that matter,
then home and a couple of hours on the trains, this was today's project after Diana gave this piece of plaster a under coat of green paint it was time to 'grass' it,
so a coat of plastic glue, smile for the camera,
what an artist!
then a sprinkle of dark earth near to the tracks themselves,
then some green turf,
stop for a ice cold soda/orange,
and whilst at that end of the track do a little more on the experimental tunnel entrance,
the rock above (skilfully painted by Diana),
and the entrance after adding some more course turf is now starting to look more as I wanted it to look,
the glue is starting to set now, so hoover up the surplus grass,
so I have added a little bit of earth colour to break up the uniform green effect,
another coat of thinned down glue then some course turf to give the ground a textured look,
well it looks a bit better tomorrow another spray of watered down glue to keep it all in place then on to the next part of the layout,
then it was all hands to the pumps as Mr. Tony arrived,
followed by Big Jim, then Mike and Riza,
the girls decided to make themselves mushrooms on a stick,
meanwhile upstairs we all enjoyed a huge pork chop each that Diana had bar-b-qued with peas and chips, followed by Mr. Tony's pork green curry he had prepared,
for desert Big Jim had brought along a huge watermelon, but for me this was a first as the flesh was yellow, not red as usual, not as sweet as the red variety but full of juice, it was a refreshing change, also he brought along some bananas and some small round hard shelled fruits that I do not know the name of, Mike and Riza also brought loads of goodies round including some pomelo, it looks and tastes like a sweet grapefruit,
it was all too much for Mr. Tony,
but then the next round of desserts appeared, two or three types of ice cream covered with chocolate sauce,
which woke Mr. Tony up, well as usual we put the world to rights, massive rise in the FTSE 100 up to over 5590, but poor performance of the £ and how strong the baht is was the main topics of conversation, then the jokes started, none of which can be repeated here! all to soon the bewitching hour had arrived and our guests left for their homes, for us an episode of Midsomer Murders then off to bed.
