We Meet Nick And Maureen At Charlie's Fishing Park,

it was so hot, even the wind did not seem to cool us down,
so it was a relief when the drinks arrived,
Nick's first of the afternoon,
and my first soda, baited up all ready to go, but Nick beat me to it catching the first fish, then it was my turn,
what a beauty! the fish was quite nice as well!
then things went a bit quite so a quick walk around the end of the pond and I came across this chappie sunning himself, a few more fish then it was time to head back to Nick and Maureen's, the score a huge 6 for Nick and 3 for me - of course mine were bigger!
Ta-Taa has a cool off and a drink in the pool, strange, I have always found that given fresh water from a bottle or the tap, dogs always given the choice, avoid both of those and drink from a pool or fish pond, even a puddle,
Ta-Taa cool and comfortable,
just outside their house one of the flame trees is in flower,
then a lovely roast dinner for all of us, 'Ah!' followed by cheese and biscuits it was soon time to head home,
then we watched a film, a true story as it happens, The Great Debaters, it was a drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas, in 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship, then off to bed.
