Back From The Clinic,

so on with the post,

Sunday again, so glad rags on and park opposite the China Garden in Soi Lengkee,

we were not eating there but going to The Robin's Nest, but worth mentioning is that fact that there are many restaurants in Soi Lengkee to choose from,

we were making our way across Soi Bukaow,

to Soi Diana that The Robins Nest is located in,

past the Metrople Hotel which is on the right hand side as is The Robin's Nest,

there are a number of offers on the walls to tempt you,

 both liquid,

 and food,

on pretty much most days of the week,

as well as a full menu,

but for us we all went with the 249 baht a head carvery,

 there was plenty of it,

so much choice from the hot trays,

with soup as a starter as well,

both Mr. Tony and Diana ordered a blue berry shake to go with their meals, I settled on a medicinal red wine,

after our meal we ordered some coffee, I must admit I enjoyed the latte,

during the course of the afternoon as we ate our meal,

I took an occasional walk to the front of the building,

to take a picture of the torrential rain,

it was really chucking it down,

so much so the street began to flood,

in no time at all it was up to the bottom step,

and it showed no sign of stopping,

luckily motorbike taxi's could still get through,

but only just, the drains totally over whelmed by the shower,

 at last it stopped,

 as another motorbike came past,

so it was now or never, the real pain was that I had just put a new pair of brand new shoes on, but the thought of stepping on a piece of glass or rusty metal meant the shoes had to be ruined, I held my hand out for Diana and off we went,

 to paddle up the street,

 ah pretty in pink!

we made our way to the top of the street where the water was not quiet as deep,

then across to Soi Lengkee where the water was deeper,

bikes were still making it through,

it had by now started to rain again, another couple of inches of water and even the bikes would find it hard going,

we continued our way to where Mr. Tony had parked the car, mercifully the road sloped upwards so the water started to get shallower, luckily our home had not flooded, as we are now a good few weeks into the high season this will be a holiday like no other for many tourists, imagine the tales they will tell when they return home about being stranded in a bar or restaurant by flood water!

we made our way home with water running out of our shoes into Mr. Tony's car, later in the evening as we watched some of the series we like Diana made us all some finger food, we then said our goodbyes to Mr. Tony,

as we made our way back inside Diana spied the frog by the front door,

so she took a couple of pictures of him, then as it was late we were off to bed.
