First Thing In The Morning,

as I made my coffee after watering the plants

I noticed we had an uninvited house guest in the kitchen,

the frog had paid us a call,

this one was the smallest one we had seen so far,

so I caught him and placed him in Diana's miniature fern garden and happy he looked there too,

next stop my 90 day check in to immigration in Jomtien Beach Road, Soi 5, all of the road outside has now been replaced.

making it a nice smooth and dry ride, having said that the last few meters at the Beach Road end has still to be completed but another week or so should see it finished, just a small point the Post Office in Soi 5 is now closed for refurbishment, so it will be a trip to Soi Post Office in Pattaya if you want to post a letter,

next stop Diana's favourite for breakfast the Surf Kitchen on Jomtien Beach Road,

it always looks nice here with orchids growing throughout the year,

Diana ordered a Coke Zero, for me a coffee latte,

but here was a disappointment, in order I guess to save costs there was now no garlic bread included with Diana's spaghetti bolognese, worse still whilst there was plenty of sauce, there was hardly any meat in it, it seems so sad that for years every thing was fine then in order to save a few baht the quantity of the meal is reduced, hopefully the owners will see it is preferable to keep the quantity the same and much though they would hate doing it put up the price,

on the other hand the prawn cocktail was as good as ever,

although immigration was packed the Beach Road was very quite,

breakfast over we had a cup of tea at home then parked up behind TukCom,

plenty of taxis in Soi Bukaow to take you and your shopping home,

it seems that stripes are in this year,

I had a look around the stalls finishing at the pet and plant end of the market,

the market goes along the street into the residential end of one of the roads,

where I spotted a variegated mini orange plant I had not seen before,

not only were the leaves variegated,

but the fruits were as well, I am guessing they are as bitter as the nonvariegated one we have,

Diana arrived at the cafe we normally sit at with some of those delicious mini oranges from China that are so popular out here, then off to call in TukCom to pick up out printer, the repair and a 100ml bottle of red ink 500 baht, arriving back home it works 100% OK, I just hope it stays that way!

Alex called round in the afternoon for a coke zero and a chat, after he left and our after evening meal we watched Independence Day, full of gung-ho and great special effects as the aliens try to conquer the world but did not reckon on the hero and scientists at area 51,

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was the last on the menu to round off the evening, discovering you are the son of a God is never going to be easy, especially if you then find out you have a quest, but Percy does OK as a Demigod defeating Hades and restoring order to the world, great fun, then for us off to bed.
