It Is Nice To See That Common Sense,

is alive and well in Lincolnshire,

the reason I say it is alive and well is that Lincolnshire County Council very kindly put double yellow lines outside the driveway of window cleaner Andrew Wilson, this was to stop other inconsiderate motorists from blocking his drive so he could not get his van out to work or to park in his driveway in the evenings, so far so good, but now because of building work next door he can not use all of his driveway, his van overhangs the yellow lines by an inch or so,

call out the Muppet's! was the cry as the same Lincolnshire County Council paid a traffic warden to issue a £70 parking fine as the van overhung the lines, the female traffic warden would not listen to reason when he explained, 'there was about three or four people in our street shouting at her, She said there was nothing she could do about it', I guess it was more than her job was worth not to issue the ticket, still look at the good news, the rate payers of Lincolnshire can expect a cut in their rates this year,

why a cut in the rates? well if the Muppet comes back every day to fine Andrew look at the money the council will make!

Mick Phoenix, parking services manager who pays for the Muppet's of Lincolnshire County Council, said of the incident, 'without looking at this case in more detail it’s difficult for us to comment'.
