We Had A Bills Day Today,

both the telephone and 3BB bill arrived in the same post,

so after a trip to the 7-11 to pay the telephone bill next to the 3BB office,

it is situated on Theprisitt Road where the weekend night market is,

a few weeks ago as we went to the night market I noticed a new fish shop almost opposite the 3BB office, so I called in to take a look,

they had a display of pond filters outside, inside a selection of freshwater fish,

the 3BB office almost hidden by trees is just off centre to the right in the picture,

then home a coffee or two, plus a couple of movies,

then glad rags on and we were off,

to the China Garden restaurant in Soi Lengkee,

new since we were last here is a daily all you can eat buffet at 299 baht each starting at 12.00 midday and finishing at 6.00 in the evening,

so in we go,

after some prawn crackers the first course,

complete with 3 different sauces,

also new for this evenings visit was the waitress staff all five off them replacing the previous ones,

the next course was a chicken and sweet corn soup, that was slightly different from the ones we have eaten here before,

a look into the kitchen confirmed what we had thought,

no familiar faces there,

so it looks like all of the staff have change, but on to our next course,

Peking duck with plum sauce, sliced onion, cucumber and pancakes,

we finished with chicken curry, special chow mien and rice, the food was cooked slightly differently than previous visits but we all agreed how delicious the food was,

the decor is just right for a Chinese restaurant, this a detail from one of the screens behind us, meal over then home for a movie,

as we arrived home I had to say hi to Jake, who is getting rather big now,

in the afternoon we watched The Well Digger's Daughter, a film with a French soundtrack but subtitled in English, what a treat it was, the countryside around Salon de Provence where the story takes place beautifully filmed, the music recorded by Enrico Caruso - Core 'ngrato Caruso could not have been chosen better with it setting the sound line of the period, the story itself takes place in the late 1930's, a casual meeting by the well diggers daughter and a local shopkeepers son results in an affair, but almost before it has begun the son is called to war with the daughter left with the consequences, touchingly filmed with great performances all round, we both thoroughly enjoyed watching another film directed by or starring Daniel Auteuil, we watched two of them a couple of days ago, Jean de Florette and Manon des sources, all three first class entertainment,

also for the afternoon we watched the final Harry Potter film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, a what a grand finale it was too,

when we arrived back from the meal we watched Downton Abbey series 3 as Mr. Tony had watched series 1 & 2 but not 3, we all throughly enjoyed the first couple of episodes, then it was time to say goodbye to Mr. Tony and for us we were off to bed.
