Off To The Bank Again,

where does the money go?

it is a total mystery to me but there we are, the Pattaya Beer Garden opposite the bank,

whilst there I noticed the Samsung sign had stopped working again,

today we had decided to watch The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, so off to the Hell Hole under the Central Festival, the planners grossly underestimated the number of shoppers with bikes when the plans were put in,

we bought our tickets then had a little walk to the outside balcony,

the Christmas display still here,
it was a bit windy outside so in we went for the film, we would have liked to have watched it in 3D, but that meant a trip to Bangkok as Pattaya only has the 2D version which we both have to say was excellent, but there were a few problems with it, like the last time we were here the film itself looked like it had been dragged along Beach Road then parts of it cleaned with wire wool, 4 times in the screening of the film a message flashed across the screen that read E407 or similar, worse still half way through the movie the place was plunged into darkness, after 5 minutes or so the film was started where it left off, all was well for 10 minuets went it went off again, after another 10 minuets one of the staff came in and made an announcement in Thai, then English, 'no power, wait up to you', three records of Robby Williams later and the film started again, for about 5 minutes when yet again we were treated to another few recordings to pass the time, for the third time the film stated again, only to fail for a fourth time! thankfully this time it was back on again in a few minuets, but the breaks meant that we did not leave the theatre till after 07.00 in the evening, by then all of the restaurants that we liked had a queue of people outside them waiting for tables,

but then a stroke of luck, several dinners left the MK restaurant we wanted to eat in so we had a table in no time,

the restaurant has a new 3D cover on it's menus,

a self portrait that Diana took,

and another,

Diana looking after me as she always does,

soup and rice has arrived,

which was a bit hot after the cold beer,

next to arrive was Diana's soup which had pork and duck in it,

we also ordered some freshly cooked vegetables,

one of the staff kindly took this picture of us,

our main course arrived next, roast pork and duck,

although it does not look it every table was taken, I had no idea so many people came to the Central Festival to shop and eat in the evenings,

then at 08.00 all of the staff dance to a couple of tunes, one I guess being the MK Company song, I think this happens every hour on the hour.

making our way downstairs we had a look at some of the shops then home feet up to watch a few movies,

the first was from a compilation we had bought, Pale Rider, if you like Westerns as we do this is one not to miss,

to finish our evening we watched a whole disk from Downton Abbey, Season 3, 3 episodes back to back, I will not tell you the plot in-case you have not seen it yet, but for us it was captivating, which is why we stayed up so late, by now it was for us time we were off to bed.
