It Will Be A Labour Of Love,

at the very least,

to breathe life into this 1939 Brough Superior SS80, but I am sure enthusiasts will be queueing up to bid for this pre-war superbike which is expected to fetch £15,000 at auction on October 20, it will then cost another £25,000 to get it into roadworthy condition, but it will be worth every penny as far as I am concerned,

Ben Walker, from Bonhams, said: 'It was bought by the vendor's father in 1964 and over the years parts have gone missing or rotted away, but this is the Rolls Royce of bikes', this particular SS80 model - named after its guaranteed top speed,

it was also a Brough Superior that famed T. E. Lawrence, who was better known as “Lawrence of Arabia” for his exploits during World War I was riding when he died, the Bonhams sale will be held at Staffordshire County Showground on October 20.
