The Buds Of Two Of Diana's Stinky Cactus,

opened today,

 and big they were too,

measuring some 4'' or just over across,

I have mentioned before they smell to attract insects, not to eat as some insectivorous plants do, but to fertilise them, and if you look carefully this one has attracted a fly,

 well two in fact,

one on the petal and one inside the centre of the flowers running around and around inside of it,

soon to be joined by the second fly, also running around the centre of the flower, fascinating,

in the afternoon we called into the market,

 passing,

 various stalls,

towards the far end of the market,

we arrived at the vegetable section,

 some tomatoes,

 then fruit, grapes,

 pineapple,

 strawberries,

and some marian plums, all to snack on over the next few days,

after our evening meal we watched a couple from Sherlock Holmes,

followed by two more from Death in Paradise, then as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
