What Do You Do With Floors Of Unwanted Car Parking Spaces?

an executive at Sony was thinking,


 when he listened to a radio show last year hosted by DJ-turned-fashion-guru Hiroshi Fujiwara who stated he wanted to open a store in a parking garage, the Sony executive contacted Fujiwara with news that several floors in the basement of the Sony Building in Ginza were unoccupied, 

 fast forward about a year and last week on March 26, 2016 The Park-Ing officially opened for business,

 the shop is designed by Fujiwara’s go-to architect Nobuo Araki the selection of shops that are calling the space home, include some of Japan’s hottest apparel brands, there’s the trendy fragrance and beauty brand retaW, as well as Denim By, a collaboration between Fujiwara himself and Ryo Ishikawa’s Vanquish,

and if you get peckish shopping there is the ‘toast artists’ of Cafe du Rope, to provide snacks, the car park is in Tokyo, Chou-ku, Ginza 5-3-1 Sony Building B3F, and if you want to hear Fujiwara's new radio show it is called Tokyo Calling, on-air from Saturday April 2, 24.09 - 24.15, TV Asahi (Kanto / Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Ibaraki, Saitama, Toshigi, Gunma), happy shopping!
