It Just Had To Happen,

well it is Christmas,

the season of goodwill and cheer, the season of people trying to raise money for the less fortunate amongst us, but never let that get in the way of a money grabbing council's jobsworths as a Leicestershire County Council traffic warden slapped a ticket on Santa's sleigh, Mr Uttley drove the sleigh behind his car and placed it outside of the Co-op before moving his car outside of the retractable bollards and parking it briefly on zig-zag lines near to the pedestrian crossing, He was waiting for other volunteers to meet him to take over the sleigh and hold the collection, in under a minuet thecouncil stuck, last year the Hinckley Round Table collection raised more than £5,000 and the volunteers are hoping to raise even more this year, less the councils £35 fine if they pay it within 14 days or £70 after that,

Mr Uttley said: “the money raised goes to local people who come to us for help, this year we helped to get Andie Luntley from Burbage, who has Rett Syndrome, a special eye computer to help her communicate' well wishers and anyone wanting to help can see Santa on Castle Street outside the Co-op this Saturday from 9am until 2pm, it will also visit the Marina on Monday December 15 from 5.50pm to 8pm, the Fleet in Stoney Stanton on Wednesday December 17 from 5.50pm to 8pm, Roston Drive in Hinckley on Thursday December 18 from 5.50pm to 8pm, Sapcote on Friday December 19 from 5.50pm to 8pm, Tesco on Hawley Road on Saturday December 20 from 8am to 2pm, Nelson Drive in Hinckley on Monday December 22 from 5.50pm to 8pm and Tesco on Wednesday December 24 from 8am to noon, as for the council who employed this person who apparently puts money before kindness and compassion, you would not get my vote in the next election!
