We Were Up Early To Go To The Coral Island,

it was just like being on holiday again,

we packed everything in to our beach bag and made our way to the jetty,

 sunrise over Pattaya,

there are new speedboat piers being built off of the main jetty,

we were on the first ferry of the day,

so the decks were packed with produce for the island,

even taking up the gangway, but it was not a problem as we exited on the other side of the boat,

the boat left promptly at 08.00 AM,

the sun a little higher now,

 looking towards the Royal Cliff,

 and back towards Pattaya,

with this new building dominating the sky line,

Pattaya and the new jetty fading in the distance,

the boat was packed with people,

 and provisions,

it was quiet amazing the number of speedboats, coming from,

 and going to the island,

 we will soon be there,

as we make our way past one of the smaller beaches,

I am guessing this is one of the coastguard boats,

as we near the jetty we start to slow down,

 the coastguard complex.

 we arrived safe and sound,

the crew of one of the smaller fishing boats readies its nets,

looking towards one of the smaller beaches,

we both remarked how clean and clear the water was out here,

you can get to this smaller beach,

by taking a right turn from the jetty,

and make your way along this rustic foot bridge,

but we decide on the bigger beach where we normally go,

along the boardwalk you are greeted by lots of stalls,

 selling food,

 and souvenirs,

the stalls then give way to permanent shops,

 selling all manner of goods,

we stopped at the place we normally do,

where there are not too many people,

but further down the beach it was packed,

we have never seen so many people here, but they did not arrive by ferry, all had come by speedboat, the bay was filled with them,

the deckchairs as it was high season were 100 baht each, a coconut for Diana,

 a coffee for myself,

later in the day we then ordered our lunch,

 chicken fried rice for myself,

and a selection of Thai food for Diana,

I grabbed my headphones and listened to music and a talking book,

whilst Diana had a few ZZZZZs,

 hello,

 peek a boo!

an ice cream for Diana as dessert,

after a couple of hours we made a move for home via the ice cream stall,

a last look at the beach,

we did notice a couple of price increases, having said that the boat at 30 baht each way the same as our trip here earlier this year, but beers that were 60 baht are now 70 baht, the fresh coconut Diana ate had risen from 30 baht to 50 baht and a coconut shake for Diana later in the day had rose from 50 baht to 80 baht, there must be a coconut shortage!

we boarded the 4.30 in the afternoon ferry for home, the trip took 50 minuets, after our evening meal we watched The Chase on TMN, followed by Goldfinger, a couple from the television series Sleepy Hollow then exhausted by our day out we were off to bed.
