Mammoth's In The News Again,

using new techniques to determine the age of five skeletons dug up in Condover, Shropshire, in 1986, scientists have found the elephant-like beasts were living here in the UK as recently as 14,000 years ago, research leader Professor Adrian Lister said they were thought to have disappeared during an icy period 21,000 years ago, this indicates that global warming was to blame, not human predation, he stated, “There were humans around during the time of the Condover mammoths, but no evidence of significant mammoth hunting.” phew! that's a relief, I thought that man had wiped out the Mammoths due to over hunting, but it appears that was not so.
