Out For Breakfast, So Off To Jomtien,

well more like an early lunch,
so we stopped at chef @ home, it is between Soi's 4 and 5,
it is a restaurant and guest house, quite new, we have not seen it before,
the view opposite, it was a windy day, which unfortunately made the water seem more unpleasant than usual,
a novel touch, a few birds in the trees,
the tables at the front are made out of old sewing machines, great for sitting down foot and leg exercises, but very annoying if your one squeaks!
a close up of one of the birds,
and it's best friend near by,
for me a 80 baht glass of wine and a 69 baht prawn cocktail,
a nice view of the sea, plus all of the comings and goings of the tourist, yes there was one, he walked past twice! everyone else that walked past was selling some thing,
Diana had a 99 baht club sandwich, which seemed a bit expensive until we saw it came with chips and a coleslaw served in half a raw onion,
a view along the bar area,
and along a very quite road looking towards the police box at Dongtan,
and towards Sattahip, well I have to say the owner/s have put a lot of work into chef @ home, there were a few people going inside, but to the hotel, only one couple was eating, which was a shame, the food and service was excellent and when we got the bill a complete surprise, a 20% discount! I do not know why, but there it is, if you fancy a bite to eat at this end of the beach, give it a try,
last week you may remember we went to the market so that Diana could buy a pair of shoes, all those shoe stalls in the market and not one pair she liked, well I wanted to buy myself a pair for when I return to the UK, so off we went to Findig, it is a huge shoe shop on Second road just before Royal Garden shopping mall, on the same side,
for me no problem straight in, that pair there, size 43, 950 baht done and dusted,
if only life was that simple for Diana, after trying on a few pairs, nothing she really liked, this store was huge! then as we left another store next door, so we looked around that as well, still no joy, nothing she liked, so off home, at least Diana is not a Imelda Marcos wanna be!
when we returned home Diana decided to make a chicken casserole,
which like Saturday was delicious, I had a few glasses of red wine, purely medicinal you understand! and then we watched Contact in glorious HD, if you are into sci-fi this movie is a must see, followed by Hell boy 2, if Hell boy 1 was to your liking you will love this one, and I guess you will be counting the days till Hell boy 3, then for us, off to bed.
