It Has Been Sold At Last,

it being the functioning stealth ship the Sea Shadow,

sold to the Bay Ship & Yacht Co. for $2.5 million in an auction, not bad when you think it cost $172 million to develop (figures vary), the vessel which is able to evade radar detection due to its angular shape was purchased by as part of a package with a giant submersible barge called the Hughes Mining Barge or the HMB-1, it was a pity the bidders did not read our blog, at one stage they could have had both for FREE! this is the article in the Mail, in February 2009, or in April 2012 for just £61,000 if you agreed to scrap it, the boat was mothballed for some time as photographers led by Scott Haefner found out in Suisun Bay, 30 miles north east of San Francisco back in June 2011, but I still wonder why some one would pay for a boat that the navy could not give away!
