We Called In To See A Friend Of Ours,

on the way home,

he has some enormous fish in his garden pool,

this is a Pangasius catfish, (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus, previously Pangasius hypophthalmus) that is a good 2 foot long,

but look at the size of the fish it is now next to,

it is an Arapaima, (Arapaima gigas) and it or I should say they are huge,

towards the rear of the fish the scales at their edges turn a loverly red colour,

although difficult to see they really are quite nice, the fish here are now in the 100 kilogrammes plus range, though in their native habitat they have been known to reach over 200 kilogrammes,

next stop home, then to the seamstress a slight alteration for one of Diana's dresses,

night at the weekend market was next on the agenda, the night sky looking towards Jomtien,

clear skies looking inland too,

a couple of second clothes stalls opposite the bar this evening,

plenty of fresh fruit here but we had already stocked up during the day,

this food aisle looking busy,

a few people looking at pets as well,

the sun going down over Jomtien,

as I made my way to the bar Hans and his charming girlfriend were sitting there, so we had a lot to chat about as we both keep fish, after saying our farewells to them we were joined by Mr. Tony,

then home feet up for a couple of homemade cottage pies for our evening meal,

rounded off naturally by a Magnum ice cream each,

lights, camera, action! Dad's Army was playing next, we watched a few episodes of that then we wished Mr. Tony a safe journey home, then for us we were off to bed.
