After Watching An Ade In Britain Show,

we decided to try one of the recipes featured in it,

so off to Friendship to buy a grater,

I also called into the Kodak shop opposite to order a couple of pictures we wanted printed,

the owner was giving the aquarium a bit of maintenance cleaning the front glass,

the Regal Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus) looking as nice as ever,

as did the Bangaii or sometimes called Jeweled cardinal fish,

or to give it it's scientific name, Sphaeramia nematoptera,

and this was the grater that we bought from Friendship,

starting with a chicken soup the dish we tried was one I was familiar with as a kid back in the 1950s, Mum used to call it German pancakes, basically you shred potatoes and onions add some bacon, flour and eggs, season with pepper and salt then fry, all of which Diana did to perfection, the pancakes were delicious, if you get a chance watch Ade in Britain for us it is an unmissable series featuring local foods and produce along with traditional customs and crafts of Great Britain,

in the evening we watched a couple of films that were on the cable network TMN that we subscribe to, the first Now You See Me, four magicians each answer a mysterious summons to an obscure address with secrets inside, a year later, they are the Four Horseman, big time stage illusionists who climax their sold out Las Vegas show with a bank apparently robbed for real, great special effects and a bit of a twisting and enjoyable story,

we followed that with a film based on a true story, Pain & Gain, the film was so funny as three body builders try to extort information from a millionaire businessman they kidnapped when everything and I mean everything that can go wrong does, until a reminder appears on the screen to say all of this is true, some of the main protagonists are still serving time for the kidnapping,

naturally we rounded the evening off with a few from Cheers, then for us we were off to bed.
