In The UK And I Expect Most Other Country's,

we expect the police to look after us,

but it appears in the UK at least some of them need looking after themselves, a police source said: ‘It’s not the number of injuries that’s a worry, it’s their trivial nature, some officers can’t seem to navigate their way past a desk without hurting themselves.’

the injuries themselves have become known as more than 20 forces answered freedom of information requests about hundreds of injuries to police staff, replies ranged from an officer with repetitive strain from ‘opening and closing doors’ to one who fractured her toe while moving a table during a tactical training course, training sessions are beset with peril – one man was left with torn ligaments after his instructor in ‘flinch training’, which teaches police not to react during confrontation, stamped on his foot,

and there is more, including one officer who cut her hand opening a letter and another who was scalded making a round of tea, others included a policeman who hurt his back switching a computer on and one who was concussed banging his head on a hand-drier,

another source said: ‘You’ve got to laugh, really – it’s like reading the script to a new Three Stooges film.’ who said the Keystone Cops were a thing of the past?
