You May Remember,

how I was having a chuckle at a company that we do not like,

then today I read this, the iPhone 5S may have only gone on sale on Friday, but hackers have already claimed to have circumvented its much-vaunted fingerprint scanner, The Chaos Computer Club said it had bypassed the fingerprint scanner by ‘using easy everyday means’, it conceded Touch ID had a higher-resolution scanner than other devices, but that all was needed to counter it was an equally high resolution photo of someone’s fingerprint, in this case taken from a glass surface, this scan was then used to create a thin latex sheet that served as the fake to access a user’s iPhone 5S,

'We hope that this finally puts to rest the illusions people have about fingerprint biometrics, it is plain stupid to use something that you can’t change and that you leave everywhere every day as a security token,’ said Frank Rieger, spokesperson for the CCC,

(Bad) Apple is yet to comment on the apparent hack, nice to know the company are on the ball on this one.
