As With Most Weeks We Have Had A Great Time,

but electrically it has been fraught with problems,

regular readers of our blog will know that anything electrical to do with me fails regularly, a few weeks ago our electric kettle decided not to pump water, so after spilling boiling hot water on my hand more than once ladling the water out of it, we decided to buy a new one, also the computer at the same time the kettle failed had to go back for repair, next our television over the past few months was starting to have lines appear on it, from top to bottom, it is still watchable but as with many things if you know there is something wrong you look for it, also over the past few months the lines have become more numerous, we enquired about the cost of repair and were told it needs a new panel, cost 20-25,000 baht++, then on Wednesday the amplifier made by Onkyo yet again decided to have a nervous breakdown and go dumb, the picture was fine (except the lines), but no sound, we were fishing on Thursday so off we went to HomePro on Friday,

two technicians called round later in the day to pick up the amplifier and both noticed the lines on our television, as luck would have it I had bought a 3 year extended warranty on the stereo system so at least we did not have to pay for the repair, we were not going to repair the television, when it became unwatchable we would replace it with a new one, this is what the service center in two different stores told us, the cost of repair would not of course cover all of the other parts of the television that were by now of course nearly 3 years old, but the technicians noticed that the 3 year warranty was for the television and not for the stereo system, now here is the good news, the 3 year warranty still had 20 days left on it, talk about in the nick of time!

so back to HomPro, past the outside water features, after looking at the paperwork we were told that the amplifier would be sent back for repair at our cost, but the television would be picked up some time next week under the terms of the warranty, so the situation regarding our electrics is as follows,

Panasonic, camera still with them from 2 weeks before Christmas, work proceeding on a increased quotation,

Onkyo, amplifier at HomePro to be sent to Bangkok for repair,

Samsung, television waiting to be picked up from home,

and here is our new water kettle/boiler, 5 year guarantee, we shall see!

off to the weekend night market on Thepprasit Road, looking towards Jomtien,

 and inland,

opposite the bar this evening a stall selling perfume and a 50 baht stall,

 the food aisles crowded,

but hardly a soul in the pet section,

 sunset over the market,

 no one at the bar,

as the ice cream seller walks past,

the perfume shop appears to be selling,

Laurelle products, but as Brian listened he explained it appears it is also a scheme to encourage agents to join,

'Cheers!', from Brian and myself, after saying our farewells we were off,

and feet up with a bowl of popcorn to watch two episodes from Prime Suspect, then for us off to bed.
