Here Is A New Bank Note Design,

from Barbara Bernát for the Hungarian Euro,

for her MA degree project she designed a banknote series for a fictional currency, the Hungarian euro, the common side of each note features European animals, the other side shows related species of plants, she used the original proportions of the existing euro banknote for her design, as the denomination increases, the size of each banknote is growing, the animals also represent the growth of value,

the values of each note feature a different animal or bird,

she left the the unnecessary security graphic elements behind, to get a clear visual impact, as she wanted to emphasise the animals and plants, the typography and the security marks are secondary on her notes, starting with thumbnails, they evolved to more detailed sketches,

and here is the neat part under UV light the skeleton of the creature shows up, I wonder if they will ever be adopted by the powers that decided on this sort of thing?
