Here Today,

gone tomorrow,

to be repeated who knows when, what strange series of events caused these sand sculptures to be formed? some of them over a foot high were captured on film by photographer Joshua Nowicki as he walked by the shores around St. Joseph, Michigan last week,

the strange layered sand castles were formed when blasts of wind slowly erode layers of frozen sand, Nowicki returned yesterday to shoot more photos, but found that sunny skies were enough to melt them away, what an unusual looking phenomenon.
