Do Not Mess With Fish 212,

and you thought fish were fun!

we have not posted a 'do not mess with fish post' for quite some time, so here is number 212,

in Japanese the term uofu gaka is given to someone who paints lifelike pictures of fish,

and that term is given to Yusei Nagashima who was fascinated by watching fish from an early age,

now 32 years old he is still painting, as it happens for the last 3 years Nagashima has been posting a new painting to his website every single Friday, the paintings are accompanied by a short essay on his relationship to the particular fish–memories of it, special characteristics or any other memorable traits, Nagashima just wrapped up an exhibition at Suido Gallery in Tokyo, if you missed it there are some photographs of the exhibition here, if you really like his work he does sell occasional paintings on line, from what I can see they sell for 3,240 yen each, about £17.00 each which seems very reasonable, I am not sure if they are reproduction, limited copies or originals, but they would look nice in any event on almost any wall.
