This Will Be My Last Post For Some Time,

as later today I will be leaving for the airport,

flying to Frankfurt and then on to Windhoek in Namibia, where I will be joining Will Gray and a few other dedicated photographers for a 17 day photo workshop journey around the country, taking photographs on the way,

our trip might be a tad clearer to see above, it certainly looks to be exciting, and to say I am looking forward to the trip is a understatement, as you might expect in the Namibian desert there might be a few problems keeping the blog up to date, but I will try, I should also mention that after returning I will only be in the UK for 2 days, then I am heading out to Thailand and the Philippines until the second week of December, so posts are going to be a bit thin on the ground! back to Wednesday, whilst packing much to my horror I found that I was short of 1 months prescription for my medication, so hurried chats with the doctor's office revealed that last week I picked up one package, and I should have been given two, so after I dropped Diana off at work I called into town and parked up,

a walk past the florists opposite,

near The George Inn,

and into Boots the chemist, and sure enough there was the second package waiting for me, what a relief!

a walk back past what was The Three Tuns many years ago, now Zizzi, a restaurant of some description I guess, and home, where I continued trying to fit all of my clothes into a suitcase, then a coffee and feet up as I watched The Chase,

before my evening read and milk,

again no sherry this evening, 'Cheers!', as I am driving to go to the photography club,

and here I am at the club, as there were so few entries in the standard class, the photographs of Nigel, Paul and myself were entered in with the professionals, or fellow photographs many with a list of initials after their names, all to do with photography,

these were were two I entered 'Mr & Mrs Grebe and family', along with, 'The Frog Who Knew Too Much' as might be expected, Paul and myself were slaughtered Paul's prints receiving a 7 and a 8, out of 10, for myself both prints received 7.5 each, so we both tied at 15, Nigel fared slightly better with both prints receiving a 8 and a 8.5 respectively, but none of ours was held back for the second round, ah well that is what we three were up against, after the meeting I picked up Diana and headed for home, where it was feet up for a Bangers & Cash before we were both off to bed.

One Of The Foxes,

was here today as I was typing the blog,

having a rest,

before hearing me and looking up,

"Peanuts please!"

he was joined by three crows and a magpie, on the window sill Junior called by, here is a video of him,

beating off one of the other crows, I spent the day charging up batteries for the laptop, 3 cameras, flash gun, headphones and mobile telephone, as well as almost final packing, well Diana sorted that out, as always the bag which will fit on the 4x4 was a tad small, well as it happens my medium format camera gear was a bit big! also Diana went through lots of bits & pieces in the bedroom which we took upstairs in to the man attic, in case you have not seen my 'man attic' here it is,

I am kept company up here by the fox and owl on the far wall,

I think it used to be where some of the staff that looked after the house lived,

before I cleared it out it had a bath up here, after our evening meal there was not much on normal television, so a couple of films it was starting with,

Equilibrium, we had watched it some time ago, this is what I wrote then, 'borrowing very heavily from 1984, a little, like the dodging bullets and gunfight scenes from Matrix and add a touch of Blade Runner and you have Equilibrium, apart from a few special effects and a couple of twist in the story it was an average sci-fi movie', but still enjoyable to watch again, after which in a complete turn of venues and storyline,

Beetlejuice was next, Adam and Barbara are a normal couple...who happen to be dead but wish to continue to 'live' in their old house, a new family move in, the couple have to haunt the house to get the new owners to move out, nice offbeat comedy, the name Beetlejuice has a passing resemblance to a star Betelgeuse which just might blow up, (in a few million years), after which Diana was off to bed, for myself a helping of Have I Got A Bit More News For You, before I too was off to bed.

First Thing,

the crows were here,

all tucking into the peanuts,

it seems a tad strange,

no foxes again today, I received a message from Decathlon to say my order was ready to be picked up, I had ordered a pair of water/windproof over trousers for my upcoming trip,

so off to the tram stop, naturally I had missed both trams as it started to rain, anyway on to,

IKEA, that now has a decathlon store next to it,

and there it is, trousers picked up and a few other bits & pieces purchased,

as I was so far along the tramline I thought I would take a tram a few stops further on to Morden Park, and take a look at the aquatic outlet there, as it happens it was several stops further on,

and a long walk from the station,

over the River Wandle,

and past the weir,

into the garden center,

through it and out to the outside plant display area,

and into the aquatic centre, I had a look around, a good selection as it happens, a lot more than Polhill in fact,

then back over the Wandle,

and a walk to the tramline station,

in 50 minutes I was alighting at Beckenham Junction,

and walking home past the snail mail box, it was surprisingly late, so I was not in long before it was time for my evening meal, after which I watched a Outback Opal Hunters and a Deadliest Catch, which ended just as Diana called, she had gone straight from work to meet Kai, for a afternoon/early evening in London, and here is their time there,

and here they are,

in Trafalgar Square, for a pose from Diana,

and Kai,

a walk into one of their favorite stores,

so walk the walk,

and then downstairs to where the fun/buying begins!

after which Chinatown,

and a all you can eat Korean bar-b-q,

it really was all you can eat! £29.99 each,

a stop at the bakery,

for some little fish,

although a tad early the girls were hoping that the Christmas lights would be on,

but alas it was not to be,

a pose,

before reaching Leicester Square,

and tube to Victoria and home to Kai's for a coffee where I picked Diana up, arriving home we were just in time for a Midsomer Murder, by now Mr. Sleep was starting to catch up with Diana, I had dropped her off for a 04.00AM., early start this morning, so after that Diana was off to bed, for myself a Bangers & Cash before I too was off to bed.
