Most Londoners Will Know Of Battersea Power Station,

its 4 chimneys seen from miles away,

it last produced electricity in the early 1980s, but now it may start producing electricity again, if BIG Architects have their way, they are proposing that the 4 chimneys use electricity from pressure, called piezoelectricity, electricity would be stored and then converted into a lightning show between the 4 chimneys when they are converted into giant Tesla coils, it is thought that the estimated 50,000 people a day walking through will produce the power needed,

the two pairs of towers are extremely tall relative to their surroundings and arguably an iconic part of the neighbouring urban landscape, part of a power plant complex that is nearly a century old, the Battersea Power Station will be rebuilding the chimneys regardless, so it is just a matter of whether they will adopt this enhancement in the process, called Malaysia Square at night this could really change the night above the capitol, images of the Tesla coils concept have not been released by SP Setia, the Malaysian consortium that is developing the power station site, but the one above was provided by Clarence Risher, I wonder if electricity produced by this piezoelectricity process could be generated elsewhere in this or other busy capitals?
