I often re-read a book that I enjoyed reading,
and this is one of them, The Day of the Triffids, by John Wyndham,
published in London by Michael Joseph in
1951,
this is a first edition, in the publishers' original binding, with dust wrapper,
from the sellers web page: 'the book is in the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. A little discolouration to the spine and extremities. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, the dust wrapper has light edgewear, with tape repairs to the reverse to the spine. Minor marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean',
as you might expect being a first edition it is not cheap, especially when it is described as 'one of the most popular and important post-apocalyptic novels ever written', the book is offered at Rooke Books, at this page, yours for £1,600.00, and I have to say what a good read it is, and yes I have read it more than a few times!
