The Crows Were Making A Frightful Noise Again,

and sure enough Reynard was there,

as well as the crows,

a magpie put in an appearance,

so peanuts on the window sill,

for the crows as well,

I made this short video, for some reason this crow prefers the compost in the orchids pot, so whilst videoing him I move the pot out of his reach,

as Kai was in Thailand we invited Steve to join us for Sunday lunch, after a beer,

and a sherry,

it was time for our meal, Steve had brought a few things with him including a bottle of bubbly,

which put up a bit of a fight,

so I had a go,

the cork did not want to leave the bottle,

success!

bubbly all round,

'Cheers!',

Diana had made a prawn salad for our starter,

we opened a Christmas present Steve and Kai had bought for me last year,

and nice it was too,

for our main course, slow cooked beef brisket, with gravy for Diana and Steve,

sans gravy for myself,

eyes down and tuck in,

but first pour some red with the aerator attached,

another present from Steve and Kai, the meal was delicious,

and then some fresh cream cakes Diana had bought,

which were so nice, as well as,

 a sherry trifle,

Diana decided to finish it off,

yummy! after the meal we chatted away until we said our farewells, after Steve had left it was feet up for some television, as it happens one channel were showing Midsomer Murders back to back for the whole evening, so after a couple of those we were off to bed.

Dear Stan and Diana
Over the last year we have been challenged repeatedly with bubbly corks that are so stubborn they just don’t move. Solution- we now use our cork screw and open bubbly like regular wine if the cork is lodged.
Gone are the sore hands from over gripping and twisting. Industry must of changed process or machinery as about all bubbly we get today is very hard to open!
More work for a little cheer!!
Regards

Dear John and Alley, I am not sure about America, but over here so many wine bottles have plastic corks or have screw top bottles, only on the better quality wines do we find that real cork is used, so we are going from naturally sustainable to through away plastic and metal, I guess it is called progress!, best regards, Stan and Diana.
